Following God's Word Inspirational Gospel

It is not easy for anyone to remain obedient to what we know we are supposed to be doing, especially when we have so many distractions and influences constantly bombarding our lives. This is most challenging when we do not stay in God’s Word regularly, reading the Bible on our own or by the teaching of the Bible from those who can lead our understanding of God’s Word. Just like anything we do in our lives, the more you are exposed to something, the more you have an understanding of it, and therefore, can gain most out of what you are learning.

What you do know about God’s Word and the lessons, instruction, and promises God provides to us through His Word, should be the foundation of your focus in daily life, guiding you on how to best navigate the steps we take. It would be silly to use GPS, have it tell you which direction to go, and you decide to turn and go the other way. That GPS just became useless to you. It is the same for Believer’s who don’t use the invaluable guidance we receive from the Bible. This Scripture goes on to compare one who doesn’t follow God’s Word after hearing it to “…someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like (James 1:23-4 NIV).

When we follow God’s Word, allowing it to be our guiding map for how we navigate each day, we receive the full blessing of what it is to walk in God’s light and truth. We are able to reflect who God is through us and show other’s who we are as a Believer, not only to receive His blessings, but so we may also be a blessing to others.
